The Academy of Fine Arts Munich is more than just an art academy – it is a lively centre for the creation of contemporary art. The degree programme stands out from today’s university landscape. It focuses on independence and personal responsibility and promotes outstanding artistic talent according to individual interests and specialisations. Renowned artists lead the classes and numerous study workshops with their different artistic approaches. In addition to Fine Art with classes in painting, sculpture, media art, performance, photography, jewellery and hollowware as well as stage design and costume, students can also study Art Education and Interior Architecture at the AdBK, as well as the Master’s degree courses in Fine Arts and Therapy and Architecture and Art. The annual exhibition in July presents students’ work in the studios, workshops and garden of the Old Building.
